Well, i think it has been said and suggested that the truck driver was present at the scene which his wife mentions on the phone at the start of the movie, attempted rape and the car driver did nothing- i Always thought it was a movie in part about that but a sort of classic bully-victim movie.

Hope you’ve seen two guys who got out from the bar and both guys drove their own cars . But the killer truck started to roll few seconds later . And the driver was unknown :/

I so agree with you. This is when movies were based on simple psychology – not a bunch of explosions. Anytime it’s on, I’ve gotta stop and watch.

I just love this monologue at 0:27: “You never know, you just never know. You just go along figuring some things don’t change, ever. Like being able to drive on a public highway without soneone trying to murder you, and then one stupid thing happens: 20-25 minutes out of your whole life and all the ropes that kept you hanging in there get cut loose and it’s like there you are, back in the jungle again”.

Yes, but that is not my point. My point is that it took a real man with enough skill to push that car to the limit and vanquish his foe. It is the fact that the car is incapable of out running the truck that makes this movie such a triumph.

Damn straight. No shootings in schools and if u were on a fight, it was usually one on one, now, kids are cowards and gang up on other kids, afraid that they may lose if they go solo. I’m a product of the 1970s born in ’65 fir which I am glad
